Chapter Book Illustrations
For a fun project, I did some chapter book illustrations for "James and the Giant Mango." It is my reimagining of Roald Dahl’s "James and the Giant Peach" with an African twist. This version follows James, an orphaned boy living in Mozambique with his two selfish and disagreeable aunties. When a magical giant mango transforms his fate, he embarks on an unforgettable adventure, leaving behind the miserable life his aunties created for him. These illustrations bring my vision to life, capturing the heart of the classic story in a new setting.

Other Illustrations
A few of the illustrations I have done are not African related. The goose is inspired by my husband, who is very much a silly goose himself. This is a scene of him wildly making me bread, one of my love languages. The other scene I did in memory of my husband's Nanny. She was known for her love of pigs, and many of the pigs in this illustration are inspired by ones she had in her house.
